Success of Drug Addiction Rehab Program. Part 2.

The addiction rehab programs assess the severity of problems related to substance use in six areas: medical, employment/support, alcohol and other drug use, legal, family/social, and psychiatric.

The rehab treatment is conducted by a wide range of professionals, including Addiction Medicine specialists, psychiatrists, psychologists, and appropriately trained nurses, social workers, and counselors.

Drug rehab also varies depending on the specific needs of the patient. There are many different types of drug rehab programs available: in patient, outpatient, residential, short-term, and long-term.

Generally, a long-term treatment receives the best the results. A long-term drug-free rehabilitation allows enough time for the body to start to readjust its own natural balance. A proper nutrition and exercise promote to fix the recovery.

In outpatient treatment program the addict will have to attend the treatment center. This program is a best option for those who are in mild forms of addiction. The patients of outpatient treatment program will need to visit the treatment about three to four times in a week.

In patient program focuses on treatment for those addicts who are into severe addiction and needed urgent medical treatment.

A very important role of the family is during the aftercare process when the family monitors the patient so that he or she does not have a relapse.

Over the last 25 years, studies have shown that addiction rehab is very effective in reducing or eliminating drug and alcohol intake. Researchers also have found that drug abusers who have been through a treatment program are more likely to have greater stability generally in all aspects of life.
